Lund Gallery was opened in September 2005 by the landscape artist Debbie Loane. The gallery is dedicated to showing contemporary art, craft and sculpture from a wide range of makers in a relaxed rural setting.

The gallery occupies converted barns on a smallholding 25 minutes drive north from York, just outside the market town of Easingwold. The open aspect makes it an ideal space for exhibiting art in an uncluttered and relaxing environment. There is ample parking and full disabled access.

In March 2009 the Gallery expanded into a newly converted barn - The Tractor Barn (where we used to keep the tractor...) With a high ceiling and plenty of natural light it is an ideal space for larger works and intallations.

or as a general meeting venue:

In addition to the conversion of the tractor barn, Debbie gained a new studio, a small cottage adjoining the gallery (Wren Cottage) and a self contained office (currently let to a local architect).

We also have a large (new) barn available for short term let. We recently hosted some stone carving courses run by Dominic Hopkinson which were a great success. If you are interested in letting this space for something creative - please get in touch!

Lund Gallery, Wren cottage, studio and offices, are heated by a 40KW woodchip and log boiler supplied by Manco Energy Ltd. Woodchip and logs are sourced locally, inlcluding windfall from the farm, and from local tree surgeon Howard Gill. Waste water is treated on site in a miniature treatment plant supplied by Klargester.

The first atage of this project was supported under the England and Rural Development Programme by the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs and the European Agricultural Guidance and Guarantee Fund.
