Opened in September 2005 and extended in 2009, Lund Gallery is the Studio Gallery of established lansdcape artist Debbie Loane. In addition to showing Debbie's own work, the Gallery takes pride in exhibiting what it believes to be the best contemporary arts, ceramics and crafts from across the UK for collectors to view and purchase.
The gallery occupies converted barns on a smallholding 25 minutes drive north from York, just outside the market town of Easingwold. The open aspect makes it an ideal space for exhibiting art in an uncluttered and relaxing environment. There is ample parking and full disabled access. In addition to the Gallery, The Lund also accomodates two artists, an architect, as well as being home to Debbie and family. The whole venture is heated by a 40KW woodchip and log boiler supplied by Manco Energy Ltd. Woodchip and logs are sourced locally, inlcluding windfall from the farm, and from local tree surgeon Howard Gill. Waste water is treated on site in a miniature treatment plant supplied by Klargester.
The first stage of this project was supported under the England and Rural Development Programme by the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs and the European Agricultural Guidance and Guarantee Fund.
